...PlayStation 3 vs Xbox 360 vs Wii - Why choose?...

Since the released of Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360 back in the few years; many gamers are afraid to choose on what console that is right for them. Since the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are far more superior in CPU and graphic power but Wii revolutionise gamers with game play experience. But all those specifications were not the real case why gamers choose a console but the most important thing is the title. But in this posting, I just want to mention about exclusive title that are not available on either one.

First Person Shooters - FPS

Resistance: Fall of Man

This is the real Halo killer that Sony had been looking for. But competition was really stiff as Gears of War had overwhelmed gamers all around the world and named it game of the years in 2006. Luckily there is a sequel for Resistance called Resistance 2 and unluckily Gears of War 2 was also in the finish development. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Halo 3

For your information, I only played Halo on my old Xbox. My first impression and expectation was high as the old Xbox are more far superior in graphic than the PlayStation 2. So the presentation was really nice. I have not played Halo 2 and I am sure not going to play Halo 3. I felt like a nerd as I am playing Master Chief who really can do everything while others soldier looks like a puny grunt. No offence but this game is highly rated and love by most gamers but not me. I felt like becoming a sudden hero who can take down the whole alien nation (sound like Rambo). And the most annoying part is the colorful scenery. I really want to puke after playing Halo. It can make me disoriented very fast much like Half-Life 1 or 2. This game is not for me as I am going to stick playing the hardcore stuff like Gears of War 2 soon.

Meteroid Prime 3

How many games that let you play as a woman who had an exo suit and big friggin gun? One thing is for sure, kudos for Nintendo as she is the first woman who appeared as a the main protaganist since her first appearance in the Nintendo Entertainment System. Many gamers particularly boys and men, did not realize that Samus Aran was a woman. Although she does not have big booby like Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, but she sure can kick some alien parasites called Metroids.

Racing

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue

Oh yes! The sequel to Gran Turismo 5. For your information, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is not the full game of Gran Turismo 5. It is just a playable sample of what Gran Turismo 5 would be when finish in the near future. An expensive sample for just a short gameplay. I am a real fan of Gran Turismo since it first appeared on the PSone. I used to play it at my cousin's house as he got the original PAL disc of it. Although I am a big fan of Need for Speed, I felt that playing Gran Turismo is another experience that is really worth my while. Having a large collection of cars ranging from the classic era; makes you just want to drive all of them. The most best experience is the rally races. Now in Gran Turismo 5, it appeared that F1 had granted license to Polyphony and Sony to feature F1 Grand Prix. A first of its kind. The only series that I ever finished was Gran Turismo 3 and Gran Turismo 3 Concept.

Project Gotham Racing 4

Honestly? This is a Gran Turismo clone. Much like Gran Turismo, Project Gotham Racing also featured licence cars from all over the world and the most exclusive is Ferrari. I only played PGR2 and PGR3. And through my experience, PGR is trying to be different. It featured Kudos for special executed action and the graphic were more superior than Gran Turismo 4. The only limitaion was the game play. I felt that the race was only focus on asphalt road and not rally or official circuit races like in Gran Turismo and Racedriver: GRID. But it is unique in its own way.

Mario Kart Wii

I really have no idea on what this game is all about. I only played the emulator on my Xbox and it was fun though. This is the first racing game that featured Nintendo's franchise, Mario and Donkey Kong back in the late 90's on the Super Nintendo System. Then in later years, came a lot of clone such as Crash Bandicoot's Crash Team Racing and Sonic Drift. But to fans of Super Mario Kart, I am sure you will know your game.

Action/Shooter/Adventure - Part 2

Killzone 2 (Sorry no box art)

A big dissapointment of a Halo killer. I only played it for shortwhile and it dissapointed me very much. Although the graphics are great but the gameplay is not. I guess Sony rushes this game too early and what you get is a half-polished game. Now to redeem the mistake, Sony had developed Killzone for the PSP and it is really have a positive review from critics. Instead of the normal FPS shooter, Killzone: Liberation are a top-down isometric view shooter. It is hard even on the easiest level. I guess we will have to wait for the end result of Killzone 2 and wait for all the review that fly by then.

Gears of War 2

This game ROCKS! I love Gears of War. Whether you playing as single player or multi-player. And the most important element in this game is COVER then SHOOT. The storyline is a bit confusing but all I know the scenery is beautiful as the graphic engine is powered by Unreal. I love this game and there is not much more to said but have to wait for the next sequel - Gears of War 2.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I do not know much about Legend of Zelda but I know that this game had fan all around the world. I only played the Gameboy Advance version and it is really fun. But I do prefer Final Fantasy over this game. So if you play it before, please share comments about this game.

Below are the games that is once exclusive on one console, now it changed. Some gamers are excited about it and yet, some despise it. But either way, you will be the judge of that.

Ace Combat 6

Devil May Cry 4

Dead Rising

Ridge Racer 6

Final Fantasy XIII
